Pre-Licensing

In the 2019 legislative session, the regulation for pre-licensing course requirements was increased from 90 hours to 120 hours.  The additional 30 hours consists of:

  • 15 more hours on the preparation of contracts
  • 15 hours more on agency

Potential licensees applying after September 30, 2021 are required to complete a total of 120 pre-licensing course credits.  Further, current applicants are only required to submit 90 hours pre-licensing credit for consideration.  Signature Real Estate School offers the additional 30-hour course by correspondence, and it comes with its own certificate of completion.

Post-Licensing

Post-licensing was not affected by the legislative changes and remains at 30-hours for the first renewal.
